What is your presentation about?
Every year the American Diabetes Association releases the Standards of Care in Diabetes. In this presentation, the American Diabetes Association guidelines will be compared and contrasted to the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes guidelines.
What makes this topic important in 2023?
Pediatric diabetes care is rapidly evolving. The standards of care help providers stay up to date on the latest recommendations.
How did you become involved with this area of diabetes research or care?
I have been helping to shape the American Diabetes Association standards of care for children and adolescents.
How do you think your presentation will impact diabetes research or care?
The presentation will provide an overview of the 2023 Standards of Care for youth with diabetes. It will review the creation of the guidelines and how they are similar and differ from the International Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes guidelines.
What are you most looking forward to at the 83rd Scientific Sessions?
I am looking forward to the opportunity to learn about the latest breakthroughs in diabetes care and connecting with colleagues.
